DISTAL RADIUS 3-DIMENSIONAL FRACTURE
The Conventus DR Cage System provides an innovative approach to implant design for the treatment of distal radius fractures. Its unique design enables a less invasive surgical approach, offering minimal disruption to the flexor compartment and thus enabling early range of motion, a reduction in hardware related complications and minimal post-operative pain.
Intramedullary Support, Minimal Hardware Exposed
Because the Cage is designed to be an intramedullary implant, there is very little hardware that is exposed on the surface of the bone thus avoiding tendon, nerve and other soft tissue irritation.
Less Invasive For a Rapid Return to Normal Function
The super elasticity and shape memory properties of the nitinol cage allow the implant to be collapsed and delivered with a small cannula through a less invasive approach into the metaphyseal region of the distal radius. The 3-dimensional structure of the implant provides subchondral support and provides an internal scaffold for fragment re-approximation.
